INTERNATIONAL PATHOLOGY DAY 2021: COVID-19: WHERE ARE WE NOW?
Wednesday 10 November 2021
11.00am – 12.30pm
International Pathology Day (IPD) is an annual awareness day dedicated to highlighting the fundamental role of pathology in the healthcare community and in the lives of everyone.
Diagnostic testing has been the nerve centre of the public health response to COVID-19. Since the start of the pandemic, pathologists have been working round the clock to provide consistently reliable and accurate results, all within short timeframes. At last years’ IPD event, five spokespeople discussed Australia’s response to COVID-19. This year we invite the same speakers to return and reflect on the past year, to look at the predictions that were made, discuss where we are now and look to what lies ahead. Prof Sandra O’Toole will also join the discussion to give her unique pathologist’s perspective of dealing with COVID-19, following a positive COVID-19 diagnosis in August 2021.
Details on how to join will be provided here closer to the day.
